The four Paulmann comfort criteria
Our lamps with the “Eye friendly” label fulfil the following comfort criteria:
Colour consistency:
Colour consistency indicates how uniform the colour temperature is for LED lamps. High colour consistency enables precise colour matching between different lamps, which is important in order to ensure a uniform lighting effect. Paulmann’s “Eye friendly” lamps offer high colour consistency with white tones in the same range.
Colour rendering:
The colour rendering index evaluates the capacity of an LED lamp to reproduce colours naturally. A high value indicates better colour rendering, which is important to ensure that colours under the light are perceived realistically and correctly. Paulmann’s “Eye friendly” lamps have a colour rendering index of 80 Ra or higher.
Photobiological safety:
Photobiological safety refers to the fact that the light emitted by LED lamps is safe for human health. Products that fulfil these safety norms guarantee that they have no harmful effects on the eyes or skin, and can therefore be used in various applications without concern. The “Eye friendly” lamps are characterised by minimal blue light, UV and infrared fractions.
Flickering and stroboscopic effects:
LED lamps that produce minimal flickering and stroboscopic effects generate a constant light without visible fluctuations. This makes them gentle on the eye and prevents potential discomfort such as headaches or eye fatigue. Paulmann’s “Eye friendly” lamps are characterised by minimal flickering and stroboscopic effects.
