"My father laid the foundations for the successful international family business that Paulmann is today. His management style was characterised by humanity, which earned him great appreciation and respect among his employees – his nickname among the staff, “Pauli”, speaks for itself," recalls his son Detlev Paulmann, who succeeded Rüdiger Paulmann as managing director from 2004 to 2017 and is now a member of the advisory board. 

Thanks to his foresight, outstanding entrepreneurial spirit and high level of personal commitment, the company developed under his leadership into a leading international brand manufacturer in the lighting industry with 400 employees worldwide. Rüdiger Paulmann never lost sight of others and always considered social responsibility to be part of his entrepreneurship – values that continue to play a key role in the corporate culture to this day. Until recently, he was an honorary member of the advisory board. 

Starting with decorative incandescent lamps, the portfolio has now expanded to over 3,000 products and offers recessed luminaires, living room and outdoor luminaires, cable and track systems, spotlights, wall/ceiling luminaires, and an extensive range of LED strips.
